International interest in sustainable areas

Hotspot for information and exchange at EXPO REAL 2023

EXPO REAL has also shown it: The Energieküste is increasingly becoming a magnet for companies that focus on sustainability. Green energy in abundance, 314 hectares of commercial and industrial land available at short notice, and strong business development companies - the best opportunities for long-term value creation.

Thus, the Energieküste at the Schleswig-Holstein joint stand was a much-visited hub for information, advice and exchange with national and international companies, politicians and municipalities of all kinds.

Schleswig-Holstein has no need to hide.
Claus Ruhe Madsen, Minister for Economy, Transport, Labor, Technology and Tourism Schleswig-Holstein

Initiating settlements, among others around the possible Northvolt Gigafactory: For its part, Energieküste used the opportunity to present the region's capabilities to potential real estate project developers, investors, consultants and startups and to network. For example, with a team from the Technical University of Berlin that is considering testing small wind turbines on Schleswig-Holstein's North Sea coast. Or with the Hamburg branch of Drees & Sommer, a European consulting, planning and project management group that combines economy and ecology.

A successful EXPO REAL for all of Schleswig-Holstein! With more than 40,000 participants from 73 countries and 1,856 exhibitors from 36 countries, Europe's largest trade fair for real estate and investment was again broadly positioned. Dr. Harald Schroers, Managing Director of WEP Development Agency of the District of Pinneberg GmbH, summed up the event with an invitation in terms of sustainability:

I appeal to all who want to invest in the energy turnaround, come to Schleswig-Holstein!
